Kirin's Visit

My Nephew Kirin came to stay with my mom for the week and my mom ended up having to wokr most of it. So he got to hang out with the Jones gang for most of the time. I felt bad I wasn't very entertaining. He is pretty quite so I had to really push to get some of his personality to come out. We decided that it would be fun to take him up to Mesa Falls. He acted like he really enjoyed it, we kind of got in a water fight and I don't think he has ever seen anything like those falls, they are huge! He doesn't like to have his picture taken and I was taking alot. I think he was about to hurt me! So most of the pictures that I actually did get were of his back!
My Dad's side of the family were all going camping up at Warm River for the week and so we decided to take him up with us. He had a good time just floating down the river. I don't think he has ever done that so I think it was quite the adventure for him!
He also has never feed a baby, so one night I decided I would test him out. I let him feed Eyan a bottle! He was terrified you could see it plainly on his face! Poor kid. He was so stiff Eyan could hardly eat! He eventually calmed down a bit but then it came time to burp him and I decided to give the poor kid a break. The next day I let him hold him and he was ok with it but then Eyan spit up on him and then he would hold him again! Poor kid!
Overall we had a great time and we hope that he did too! We can't wait to spend more time with him in the future!

Pioneer Day!!

So I guess in St. Anthony Pioneer Day is HUGE!! They had a play going all week long, Rodeos and Parades! We started the week with the Rodeo. Carmen, my Mom, Cahlin, Eyan and I all ventured out to see the grande event! Cahlin had a GREAT time! He loved playing the dirt. Someone left a pop on the bench and so he dumped it out and started to make a mud pie. I didn't really care he was all ready dirty! Then he started to put dirt down this little girls shirt. She was SOOO upset! I felt horrible! So the dirt games had to stop. He decided that it would be fun to climb under the bleachers. So I made him sit on my lap for the rest of the Rodeo. He wasn't very happy about it and he was a little bit crazy from lack of sleep. I pretty much did not have a very enjoyable time! By the end of the night I swore I would never take him to another Rodeo.
So the next night I packed him up and.... took him to the Rodeo!! :) Not even kidding! I was a brave soul. I had a plan though. He was so much better and I was so glad that we took him. He got to go out and chase a calf around the arena to see if he could get the money tied to his tail. He had fun but he was pretty mad that he got dirt in his shoes. He stopped and asked the clown to help him clean his shoes. We missed Kevin pretty badly that night I knew that he would really want to be there. But I took comfort in knowing that if he could have been here he would have been on the fence cheering Cahlin just as hard as I was.
Early in the morning there was a parade. I have never seen such awesome floats. They were beautiful and they were all centered around the church!Cahlin got a ton of candy it was crazy. He would wave at the people and they would throw him candy and then he would yell Thank you and they would throw more!
I still can't load any picutres but I will the second that I can!

Robert's Wedding

It is final! He is married! Their wedding was so beautiful. The Sealer was amazing. It was such a great experience to be in the Temple with them and all of our family. Robert and Sabrina only had 3 days to be together before Sabrina went to Eurpoe on a school trip. Needless to say he has been very sad and depressed. He swears he will never let her go anywhere without him again. She won't be back until August 12! Almost a whole month apart! Sad!! :(
Rober just took a job with the Guard and is moving to Alaska tomorrow. So we probably won't get to see them for a long while. Kevin has yet to meet Sabrina! But we hope that their journeys are great and they come back to us again someday!

Day with Grandpa

My boys, Carmen and my mom decided to go out to my Grandpa's farm and see the new animals! Cahlin was very excited to see the horses and cows. Grandpa had a brand new colt and it was so cute! Cahlin wanted to ride it but he settled for the bigger horse. I was really suprised, I thought that he would be scared once we got there but he wasn't! He climbed right on and was very excited. ( He has been asking to ride Carmen's dogs.) :) Then we decided to go see the calf. He was kind of far out so Grandpa decided to take Cahlin on the tractor with him. Cahlin was not having that! He was brave as a lion for the horse and he was terrified of the tractor! The only way he would ride on it was if I hung off the side with him! But eventually he found some courage and he went out with Grandpa on his own. We had such a fun time seeing the animals and Grandpa and Grandma. We can't wait to make a habit of coming over for visits! This colt was born on the 4th of July!
Cahlin was dieing to ride a horse. He kept saying that this was the daddy horse.
Melt my heart!!
Cahlin and Grandpa went on the tractor into this field to find the baby calf that was just recently born.
I was hanging on the other side of the tractor because Cahlin was to afraid to ride by himself. It was great fun but after awhile I had to jump off because my arms were SCREAMING!

Random

I decided that I was still going to post things even though I wasn't with Kevin. This way I can let him know the fun things that his kids and I do during our time without him. We miss daddy so much and we hope that this will help him feel closer to us!

We also had a little photo shoot for Eyan and Cahlin. They look so cute! It is amazing how they both change so much every month!

Home at Last!

On Tuesday of this week we ventured out on a 4 1/2 hour plane ride and a 5 1/2 hour car ride home. We were so excited to be home in Idaho! The boys did great on the plane ride. Cahlin was given a set of wings and he was very excited so he just kept on flying his plane around on his seat. When we took off he kept saying " We're going to fall. We're going to fall!" Eyan did great as well, I don't think he cried at all! He did however spit up all over me and blow out of his diaper on me! I guess that's what goes with being a mom!
We are staying at my sisters house. She has 2 dogs and they terrified Cahlin at first but now he absolutely loves them! She also has a four wheeler and he has never liked it. We decided that we would take him on a short ride around the block everyday so that he could get used to it! He somewhat likes it now. It's still not his favorite thing in the world to do but he tolerates it! I can't get pictures to load on my grandma's computer so we will have to wait for a little bit to get the pictures up and going! Sorry!

Missionaries

On Sunday at Church the Missionaries came up to Kevin and asked if we were still planning on feeding them dinner that night. Kevin was surprised because we weren't planning on having them over. We had, had them over about 2 weeks before. I felt horrible! The poor little Missionaries didn't have anywhere to eat on Sunday! So we invited them over yesterday for dinner and cake and ice cream. We have enjoyed getting to know these young men and are excited for the work that they are doing. They are both from Utah. ( All the Missionaries out here are from Utah or Idaho) :) The one on the end is Elder Flack and the other is Elder Etough.
Note: I was super busy yesterday with packing and what not. So I look somewhat scary in this picture! Don't be afraid!:)

Goodbye

Cahlin said goodbye to Mason yesterday. The fought a lot yesterday. I don't know what the deal was. But they did have a little bit of fun. We don't know when we will see him again because we are moving to Idaho and Mason is moving to Provo after the summer. We love our little friend Mason and his parents!

Giggles

Eyan has started to giggle a lot more lately! This was our first video of our little boys giggles! We love him so much and he has brought so much joy to our lives.

Hookie

Kevin and I decided that since we were going to be apart for 7 weeks we should take the day off and have a family day. Normally during the summer he doesn't get any days off but we broke the rules this summer! So we thought it would be fun to take the boys to see Wall-E. It was a really cute show. It was a very clean movie but the humor kind of went over Cahlin's head a little bit. Afterward we went to Chevy's for lunch. Then we went home to let the boys take their naps. Kevin let me take a nap too! :) Then we went down to the pool and swam for a bit. When we were leaving Cahlin was putting his flip flops on and they broke so we had to run to the mall and get him a new pair. Plus he needed new church shoes so it was the perfect excuse! To end the night we went to our favorite Italian ice stand it is called Rita's. It has the best slushies we have ever had!!
We had a great day together as a family and we are going to miss each other so much. The time probably won't go fast enough.

I hope they call me on a mission...

This morning we were just hanging out on Kevin and I's bed. I was feeding Eyan and Cahlin was jumping on the bed. Cahlin had just helped me clean up Eyan's drool and he was putting the burp rag back on the nightstand and he fell and skinned his chin.
Later we went down to the Lobby because they serve breakfast. So ate up and then went on a walk around the complex. When we were just about to our house we passed a lady in the hall. She asked what Cahlin's name was he started to tell her his life story. ( He tells everyone that he talks to everything about his day.) Anyways, he says " I hurt myself and it's ok because Jesus helps me!"
As you can imagine Kevin and I swelled with pride. Our little Missionary in the making! I can't wait to see what this little guy becomes!
Of course when he watches his scripture movies he doesn't dwell on the spiritual parts he just dwells on the stabbing. He gets very upset when Lamen and Lemuel are mean to Nephi. For a little while he ran around saying" I know you plan to kill father!!"
I love that little boy so much!!! :)

Funny Things

Kevin sees some pretty funny things when he is out on the doors. I have never seen living environments like I have when we have been out here on the east coast. Kevin is going to get some pictures of the neighborhoods for me soon but here are some random things that he has seen...Basketball a la ghetto... a plastic crate with a hole in the bottom atached to a slab of plywood, and nailed to a telephone pole

The little kid is going to the bathroom on the sidewalk. And the guy doesn't have a shirt on! I guess when you have to go..you have to go! :)

This one is my favorite! Everyone has a pitbull here. They are such scary dogs. People say to Kevin all the time " I don't need a security system I have a dog." mmk...

Great Books

I have been patiently waiting since the end of October for the fourth book of the Twilight Saga to come out. I have probably read at least 50 books since then. I have even gone as far as reading the first 3 books in the saga 5 times. It sounds crazy but I know for a fact that I am not the only person to read these books more then once. ( Katy) :) The majority of the books that I have read haven't been all that great but I just finished reading the first 2 books in the Inheritance Cycle. They are titled Eragon and Eldest. They are written by Christopher Paolini. They are fantasy books but they really aren't weird or anything. They were amazing books. If you liked Harry Potter then you will love these books.
If you find out that you aren't really interested in those books I also recommend Uglies series by Scott Westerfeld. They are based in the future and when everyone turns 16 they have plastic surgery done to their entire body. Erasing all of the flaws on their bodies but there are some who riot and don't want their bodies changed. They eventually find out that when the doctors perform the surgery they basically shut down parts of their brains so they can't think right. The group of rioters decided to take action and save their family and friends from themselves. Uglies is the first book then Pretties, Specials and last is Extras.
So if you are dieing for Breaking Dawn here are some good reads to occupy your mind until August!

4th of July

The 4th of July is probably one of my favorite holidays. I absolutely love it! So it is really hard for me when we are away from our families. Kevin had to work from 9-2 so the kids and I just hung out here at home for the morning. When Kevin got home we decided that we wanted to go to Liberty State Park. At the park you can see both the New York skyline and The Statue of Liberty. Kevin called the park the day before to see when we needed to be there by to get a good spot and they said that the park would be full by 11 am!!!! I vetoed that idea simply for the reason that i would be there by myself with the kids. Yeah, that doesn't sound like fun. In the end I lost and we went anyways but not until Kevin got home.
We went with Nolan and Lindsey and some guy just walked up to them and gave them 5 VIP tickets! So we were pretty excited!
When we got there we stood in line for a shuttle to take us from the parking lot to the park. We waited in line for about 45 minutes and decided that we could have walked there by then! So we set off on foot.
When we get about 1/2 a mile down the road we asked a cop where the VIP seating was and she told us that we were allowed to bring our cars in! So we turned around walked back to the parking lot got our cars and waited in the line of cars to get into the park!! Right when we are almost to the entrance Nolan calls us and tells us that we only had one parking pass. They were just two cars behind us in the van and so we decided to load everything from our car into the van. So we performed a very complex Chinese Firedrill right in the middle of the road. Then Kevin turned our car around, took it back to the parking lot and ran back to the van. ( Good thing he is a fast runner!)
FINALLY! We made it into the park and set out to find our special VIP seats. We couldn't find anywhere marked off or any special spots so Kevin went and asked a guy where the VIP seating was. The guy looked at him and said "You're not from here are you?" Then the guy proceeded to tell him that there was no " spot" you just sat where ever. The perk was that you got to enjoy being with the fine people of New Jersey.
WOW. Some deal it's a good thing we didn't pay for those tickets! Sorry but I would have preferred good seats to talking with people from New Jersey.
And to make the night so much better it rained the entire time!!! So we got about 4 pictures! But I guess it was better then nothing! THAT is why I don't want to leave on the East Coast because it rains ALL THE TIME!!! Bring on the west baby! By the time we get back we will have all turned into prunes!
People can make fun of small towns but I just witnessed the 4th of July at the Statue of Liberty and the fireworks in Idaho Falls, Idaho are better! I guess I am just biased!
Despite all the horrible things we had a great time together as a family and we enjoyed seeing our kids having fun. Isn't that what it's all about? :)

BBQ

The office girl Natalie love to take pictures and I finally got copies of all of her pictures from our BBQ the other day. Cahlin had so much fun, he got muddy and got to chase ducks around and eat! What could be better?!

Charlie Bit me!

Ok this is the last video but it is hilarious! I can see my kids doing this in a couple of months! Oh the joys of kids! They can make you go gray but they can make you laugh so hard your abs hurt! :)

WiPe OuT!!!!

One of my favorite new shows lately is called Wipe Out! It is the funniest thing that I have watched in a long time! A bunch of people basically have to run this course and whoever has the fastest time moves on to the next round. They all just look like idiots and the announcers make fun of them the whole time! This video is kinda long but it will make you laugh! Notice how the really tall guy spots every time he is on the spinner! I hope you enjoy!
