June 2011

The weather was so nice last June! Here are a few pics of the boys playing soccer in the backyard. They loved it because there was a slight hill in the back so the balls always went extra far! :)

We were trying to find fun things to do with our kids in the summer around Pocatello, so we decided to take up the art of Hiking. :) This was a random short hike that we found. I have found that I am a huge pansy and I don't really like walking around the woods. I don't like not knowing what animals are around me and I get to freaked out to enjoy it!!

This second hike we took was more fun for the boys and Kevin. I was brave and tried to let us go in as far as I could stand... but then eventually we did turn back because Mom was getting too worried. :)

This must have been getting closer to the 4th of July. The boys love fireworks and we love doing them with the boys. Here they are working on a couple of smoke bombs.

Cahlin lost his 1st tooth in June!! The adult tooth was growing in behind the baby tooth and I knew we needed to get it out. Kevin and I couldn't get the tooth to come out for us so we took him over to a neighbor and friend who is a dentist and he pulled it out for us... it was fun and a dramatic experience for Cahlin and I think he will always remember it!

Kevin found Eyan saying a prayer one night before bed. Love him.
One afternoon we were all just so hot and Kevin had an impromptu water fight with the boys. They had a ton of fun!

May 2011

In May of last year one of my very best friends from High School got married! So, I ventured down to Utah so that I could make her wedding cake! It was so much fun to see Marian, other friends and witness that very special day in her life!
Then came Cahlin's Preschool Graduation! We were so excited for this, I made treats for the little treat bar after the graduation, I had Cahlin dress up in his church clothes so he looked so cute, and I was going to do his hair so he was just perfect for the day. Then around 5 my friend called me and asked when I was going to show up! I was under the impression that it started at 6 so I wasn't concerned, but she then informed me that it really started at 5 and that they were waiting for us!! I was so upset. I hustled the kids out of the house, with Cahlin not having his hair done, forgot the battery for the camera and overall I was a mess. I got the to graduation and he had missed his part for his Nursery Rhyme and it was one of the first things that Kevin was able to do with us in a very long time and he couldn't be there until 6. My mom was on her way and missed it too. Overall it went from something that I was trying to make special for my son and I ruined it. But it turned out that his teacher let Cahlin participate in the next program so Grandma and Grandpa Giles got to be there and so did Kevin. I still felt bad but at least it was better! :)
Cahlin also really learned how to ride his bike last year. He did the year before as well but he kind of had to learn again. Eyan has never really been interested in riding a bike so he has a little seat that hooks on to our bikes and he goes for a ride that way! They are both so big and cute! I think my boys are the cutest ever!
Here are some random pictures of the boys...

* Eyan must not have been feeling well but looks so sweet in this pic.

* Cahlin being silly!

Long time...

No see!!! It's been almost a year since my last post! That's horrible! It makes me sad that I haven't kept up on the fun things that have gone on with our family. But I'm going to try and catch up.. at least for the next hour, I feel the urge to do so. Let's hope I get alot done!! :)

Baptisms

In March Makenna and Rebekah were baptized. It was a very special weekend and we had a great time with Kevin's family. The kids had lots of fun playing with cousins and we had fun playing with siblings! There were many great times from game playing to Wii dancing games... we won't mention/ show anyone but know that it was great... :)

Good vs.Bad...

SPIDERMAN!!!! For Halloween last year Cahlin was the Venom Spiderman and Eyan was Good Spiderman! They LOVE their Halloween costumes. They usually last all year long for great play and fun. On this particular day the boys had an especially great time wrestling being Spidermen! Here are their pictures of their efforts. It's fun that Eyan is big enough now to hold his own with Cahlin and sometimes Cahlin is the one that walks away crying... :) In the end though, they both end up friends.. :)

Dr. Seuss

I can't remember what day but I know it was one day in Mart was Dr. Seuss's birthday!! Cahlin came home from Pre-school with a "cat in the hat" hat! He was very excited and didn't let that hat come off his head the whole rest of the day! At the store everyone commented that it was very cool. He was very proud of his work! :)
