Good day

Yesterday we ventured up to Grandma & Grandpa Hughes' house for Heather's 30th birthday! We had lots of fun hanging out with cousins and Grandma & Grandpa and Aunt Carmen! Grandma even dug up home videos! We all laughed at how HORRIBLE we all look in our retro clothing. Grandpa was the only one who looked good! We watched the video of when we picked Clay up from off his mission. It's pretty great. Clay looks really thrilled to be drug around the country when he really just wanted to be home! Plus, Clay had an AWESOME missionary hair cut! :) we all had a good laugh, it's amazing too how you don't really think people's looks change all that much but Clay really looked super little and young! We'll all have to sit down next time everyone is up and embarrass him!! :)
Yes, we actually fit 30 candles on the cake! We did have to back the kids away for fear they might catch on fire! :) Heather too wanted to see if she could blow them all out! Of course she could! They were all in a 5 inch space!!

Near Drowning

Just a minute ago, I was sitting on the living room floor folding some laundry, Eyan was sitting next to me helping me put the socks back in the basket and taring everything I had folded apart, when Cahlin walks in and says...

Cahlin: Mommy, I just went potty and Jeffery fell into the toilet ( Jeffery is his stuffed giraffe)

Mom: Why did he do that?

Cahlin: Well, I put him on top of my head while I went potty and he fell in! So, I put him on the floor and told him bad Jeffery and put him in timeout.

We then ventured into the bathroom to see the poor victim of such a horrible accident. He was soaking wet on my floor. Luckily for Jeffery, Cahlin had fished him out in time.. no damage occurred. But I'm sure his pride is a bit hurt!

Silly Baby

Eyan was found in this position the other night while dad was in charge... :) also, I had to go visiting teaching tonight and when I got home Kevin said that he had eaten a couple pebbles of dog food...

Memo to self: Lock dad and boys in room so none of them get into trouble while I'm gone! ;)

Instructions please?

So, this afternoon we were all settled down eating lunch. Kevin, had bought us some caramel syrup for Ice cream over the weekend and it is sugar free. So, we were having apples so I thought oh, we can use this with our little apples today, so we are eating our lunch and Kevin looks at the label on the caramel and he read the instruction panel on the side. In little writing it says to turn cap, take of seal replace cap and squeeze. Kevin says: " If someone can't figure out why the topping isn't coming out and they aren't smart enough to twist the top off and pull the seal, what makes them think they would look on the side and read fine print to see how the bottle is supposed to work!!!"
I told Kevin that not all of us is as smart as he is and maybe we all have a harder time than he does...( just teasing and trying to keep him going) So, Kevin decided to have a little fun of his own... the fruits of his labor... :) enjoy!!

Bozeman

Over Kevin's birthday we ventured up to Bozeman Montana to visit Kevin's parents! We had a BLAST! On our first day there we were able to go feed some ducks at a local pond! It was crazy, every single duck came over to us! We probably fed them for a good 45 minutes! After the duck pond we went over to The Museum of the Rockies! It was so great for Cahlin. They had a HUGE dinosaur exhibit. We spent at least 2 hours just with the dinosaurs and we had to keep going back! We also, got to watch a planetarium show about the stars and planets. Cahlin loved all the models of dinosaurs and the bones. They had huge life size models of triceratops and brontosaurus and everything! The next day we had to go back to the Museum for Cahlin to get his fix on dinosaurs, then after we went to the swim center! Cahlin had tons of fun sliding down the slides and the adults had fun swimming laps and wrestling the floating crocodile and fighting with the other kids in the pool to give up some of the floaties... lets just say we were kinda bullies... :) To sum it all up... we LOVE Grandma and Grandpa and can't wait to go play with them again!!

Gracie Lou Freebush... Jones

This is our new member of our family! She's finally all settled down and we are all used to each other now!! She's a great dog, she NEVER barks, she never bites. She loves the kids. She's always checking on them and she puts them to bed with us and everything. We have had tons of fun going on walks with her and letting her, Cahlin and Kevin run around in the field behind our house! She's very loving and she's very smart. We are so happy to have her in our family!!!

**** I am so glad that Valentines day is here! I was getting so sick of this theme background! I know, I know, I have serious issues changing my blog! :) Also, we picked Eyan up the other day and he had been slimed by Grace!! EWW! It was pretty funny tho,you can actually see that he has hair!!!:)

~SuPeRbOwL~

Ok, I know I'm late on doing these posts. At least I am doing them tho right?! We got to go up to my sister and her husbands house for The superbowl! Even though it was Sunday we let Cahlin go sledding. It was the first and only time that he has gotten to go this year. So, I don't feel to horrible about it. I also went for the first time in a really really long time! I had a blast! It was so much fun to be plowed into snow banks! ;) Here's some proof of our fun day with Aunt Carmen and Uncle Eddy!
Also, a video of us singing Happy Birthday to Kevin. Yes, Kevin and I had already had a piece of the cake the night before!:) And we did use matches as candles! It was great fun!

Hawaii Anyone?!

Well, it's official Mike and Trina live in Hawaii! It's so crazy and sad to have them so far away. I told Kevin the other day, it seems so strange to have them so far away. Mike and Trina have always been so close and it's sad to have them leave. The week before they left we went to their house and had a dinner to say goodbye. We just played and had fun with the Johansons and the Desmonds. Also, Grandma Jones was there to help Trina! So we got to see a lot of the family! The kids had fun playing and we had a great time laughing with the adults!
We are glad they made it to Hawaii safely and I hope they are enjoying their beautiful new home! I am sure that a plane ride for 8+ hours was not very much fun with 3 kids! What troopers! We love you Johanson Family and we will miss you so much!! Post, Post, Post on that blog of yours!?! We can't wait to see your faces again!

Happy Birthdy!

Kevin is turning 23 this weekend!! WOOT! I am really excited for his birthday. We are leaving today to go spend the weekend at his parents house! It's going to be a lot of fun and really nice just to be there by ourselves and have Grandma & Grandpa all to us!! Kevin's parents don't eat any kind of sugar.. ( I know, I could never do it) so I decided that I would make him his birthday cake before we went up. I LOVE decorating cakes and I have decided that I want to start working with fondant. It was awesome! I had a lot of fun doing the cake! It's not perfect because my cake turned out kinda weird and we didn't have the cutters for the numbers and design so it's not perfect! But that's ok! My goal ultimately is to do wedding cakes and have a cake business. It's great fun doing. And I can do it at home when my kids are asleep! So, spread the word! If you know of anyone that needs a cake for a baby shower, birthday, anniversary, wedding! Let me know!!! I'm also going to start classes here soon! Have a great weekend everyone!

Boxer

Kevin and I have been thinking a lot lately about getting a dog. We both grew up with them and we really would love for our kids to have an animal! So, we were looking around online and found a site that breeds boxers and is also a rescue for animals that are abused. They also train show dogs! So, we were looking around and found an ad for a 2 year old boxer! Her name is Grace and she just had puppies in December. She was placed in the rescue home because of complication with her pregnancy and now she is doing great! So, now she needs a home! They have some of her puppies still but, Boxers are especially stubborn and difficult to train. And I don't want any part of that! Plus, since she has been at the rescue and with these people she has been trained! She knows commands and everything! WE are really excited! Boxers are very protective of their family members especially the children that they are close to. They would sooner protect a child than it's owner! Kevin and I love the look of boxers and we wanted a dog that would watch out for our kids and be kind to them also! She doesn't bark at all and she sounds like she is so sweet! Which we totally need a sweet animal... for those of you who are close to us, you all know that for some reason our cats just haven't turned out very... um.. what's the word... friendly? :) So, we are excited to have a sweet doggie! She's in West Yellowstone right now and we are going to see her tomorrow on our way up to Bozeman to visit Kevin's parents. We will make a decision about her this weekend and bring her home when we come back from Bozeman!! So, wish us luck and any insight you have on boxers or dogs in general, we welcome!!She is the one with the solid black face with the 3 dogs!
